SAM performed an Obstruction Survey for the Kickapoo Downtown Airport located in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas. NGS monuments were located on the airport property and offsite to use as control. The glide path area was defined by the engineer and all potential physical obstruction was located horizontally and the top elevation obtained to determine if they protruded into the glide area. A combination of GPS and Total Station field procedures were used to provide the information. Standards prescribed in FAA No. 405 “Standards for Aeronautical Surveys” were adhered for the reports.
