SAM provided utility coordination and engineering for the $666 Million design-build project to widen I-35E south of downtown Dallas. Our staff negotiated 41 utility adjustment agreements with owner reimbursable costs exceeding $16 Million. Our team provided the review of utility relocation engineering for compliance with codes and regulations, the reasonableness of costs, and compatibility with the highway design and construction. SAM also monitored the utility construction, verifying installations are per plans and specifications, overseeing traffic control installations, providing engineering for field changes, and managing the change order process for all utility adjustments.
