SAM Selected for Aerial Mapping, Surveying, and SUE Services

April 13, 2022

SAM has been named “Surveyor of Choice” by a Mid-Atlantic-based Investor Owned Utility. This time and materials contract to provide Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE), surveying, and aerial services, including mapping and inspection, over the next three years reflects the utility’s confidence in SAM as a partner and service provider.

SAM’s extensive experience across multiple geospatial services, strong presence in the Mid-Atlantic region, and advanced technology and aerial mapping services for the electric market, position SAM to be an effective partner over the entire course of the contract. SAM’s suite of advanced equipment and software, including our own fixed-wing aircraft and proprietary application, SAM InspectTM, will enable our teams to produce more effective deliverables for the electric utility company.

“Sharing not only our technology but also our team of highly experienced staff and subject matter experts will improve overall project outcomes,” said Chad A. Heller, SAM Project Manager. “Our relationship with this client has been outstanding thus far, and we look forward to working together to maintain a strong and reliable network.”

SAM’s national scope allows us to deploy crews across a large geographic range quickly and reduces response time to meet the electric utility’s needs. In addition, our multi-service capabilities are a key asset, as this contract demands a wide array of services and advanced capabilities in SUE, surveying, and aerial data acquisition and inspection using both UAS and fixed-wing aircraft.
