SAM Recognizes and Honors Our Veterans

November 11, 2021

Veterans Day is an opportunity to recognize those who stepped forward to serve their country and protect each and every one of us. We thank our veterans for their service and honor their sacrifices.

Earlier this year, SAM decided to give back in a meaningful way to those who have given so much. As a company, we participated in Operation Gratitude, one of the most impactful nonprofits benefitting veterans, active military, and first responders. Across all SAM offices, our team members and their families wrote dozens of letters and drew on coloring sheets as a personal way to say thank you and spread joy. Our staff also had the option to donate directly to Operation Gratitude, and they stepped up in a big way with contributions totaling $2,750. These monetary gifts sponsored 184 care boxes with personal hygiene items, protein snacks, drink mixes, and leisure items to our servicemen and women.

We also believe that giving back to those who have given so much to keep us safe goes beyond a single day or giving campaign. Here at SAM, we have a culture of appreciation for our veterans, and we value the skills, maturity, and leadership they bring. We are fully committed to helping veterans transition successfully to the private sector as they leave the armed forces.

SAM has more than 90 veterans on staff, representing every branch of service, most of whom were enlisted personnel. We offer mentorship and ongoing support to veterans as they adjust to their new private lives to make sure they can achieve their full potential when they join our team.
