Todd Baker has been at the forefront of safety culture development at SAM since coming on board as the Director of Health and Safety. He began his career over 15 years ago as a safety professional in the pipeline industry, overseeing all safety aspects of field operations for new construction, repair, and replacement. As a contractor safety coordinator in the chemical processing and oil refining industries, he developed an in-depth knowledge of heavy construction as well as hard-craft, soft-craft, and technology driven service providers. Focused on developing safety culture through engagement at all levels of employment and across all departments, he has successfully created and implemented health, safety, and environmental programs at multiple companies.

Todd is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and holds the designations of Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM). He is a member of the American Association of Safety Engineers (ASSE) and participates in the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA).

As a native Texan growing up in the refinery and chemical processing community of Deer Park, Todd has a special appreciation for SAM’s core value of Safety. He now calls Austin home and enjoys spending time with his wife and contributing to his community through volunteering for the TxDOT Adopt-a-Highway program and the CareBOX cancer patient supply delivery program.
