Sam Shakir

Sam Shakir is an accomplished executive leader with over 30 years of experience driving growth and innovation in global business environments. As the CEO, he is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the company by working with the Board of Directors and the executive management team to establish long-range goals, strategies, operational plans, policies, and the allocation of resources to accomplish the company objectives.

Sam earned his bachelor’s degree in building engineering from Concordia University in Montreal and a master’s in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley. Sam also completed Harvard University’s executive management program to build leadership skills effectively in complex business landscapes. Before joining SAM, he was President, Operating Plant Services and Environmental Services of Westinghouse Electric Company, a global leading supplier of technology and services. Before Westinghouse, he served as President and CEO of Orano USA, a prominent global supplier to the nuclear energy industry. Sam has extensive experience driving substantial growth in tech-enabled utility and renewable services businesses.

Sam is passionate about a collaborative culture with a shared focus on simplicity, transparency, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. His favorite SAM core value is Excellence In Service. Sam enjoys spending time with his family, staying active, and traveling the world in his spare time. He currently resides in Bethesda, MD, with his wife and three daughters.
