Chris Garza

Chris Garza has over 16 years of experience in the surveying industry, 7 of those years as an RPLS is Texas, and has vast experience working across many market sectors. While at SAM, he has focused on the renewable energy industry and has been responsible for countless Gigawatts of Solar and Wind energy projects.  His expertise on these projects ensures that our clients results in a timely fashion to keep projects moving forward in the development and financial closing phases.

As the Austin Renewable Energy Group Lead and Sr. Project Manager, he currently operates out of the Austin, Texas office. His responsibilities include team building and mentoring, business development, proposal formulation, project financials, project oversight, and creating and implementing new processes for the Renewables Market at SAM. Chris’s fundamental knowledge of the surveying industry and fast, continuous growth within SAM have made him a true subject matter expert in the industry and a valuable resource for SAM.

Chris’s favorite core value is People. He believes communication is key and enjoys mentoring and growing the team around him both personally and professionally. He values the relationships he has with co-workers and clients and enjoys the team atmosphere. Chris is active in his community, having served as a volunteer track and field coach. He enjoys traveling with his wife and two dogs and trying new restaurants and foods around Austin.
