Chris Cox has more than 25 years of experience in all areas of surveying and project management. Chris attended Tyler Junior College as a Land Surveying Major and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying & Mapping from the University of Texas at Tyler. Chris started his career in the field, progressing from an I-man to Crew Chief, moved into the office to become a Survey Technician, Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Operations Manager, and is now a Vice President & Associate and is in the current role of Office Manager. As an Office Manager, Chris continues to increase the quality of client satisfaction, manage budgets and forecasts, formulate strategic objectives, and, with the help of the Team, continues to ensure SAM continues to thrive by striving to make himself and everyone around him better.

Chris is a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Texas. His professional experience spans a wide range of SAM markets, including Transportation, Energy, and Electric Utilities, with extensive experience in Texas.

Chris’ favorite SAM Core Value is People. He currently resides in Texas with his wife of 16 years and two kids, ages 10 & 8.
