We are pleased to announce that Scott North, PLS, LS has joined SAM Companies as a Survey Department Manager based in our Atlanta, GA office.
Mr. North has more than 17 years of experience in the transportation, federal, and electric industries, and has worked with many public agencies throughout his career. In his role at SAM, he will focus on assisting electric utility clients, the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), and various cities, counties, and municipalities in Georgia.
Mr. North brings veteran surveying knowledge, project management insight, and experience building strong relationships with clients that will enrich and expand SAM’s work in the transportation and electric market sectors.

Scott North is a licensed Land Surveyor in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering, Surveying, and Spatial Information Systems degree from The University of New South Wales Australia, and an MBA from Georgia State University.
