SAM, LLC has been ranked by Engineering News Record (ENR) as a top engineering design firm for 2018. SAM ranked number 106 out of the 500 companies on the annual ENR list of Top Design Firms. SAM also ranked number 77 among the Top 100 Pure Designers in 2018, a category for companies not engaged in construction. Within the market sector categories, SAM ranked 34 in Petroleum, 11 in Pipelines, 4 in Maintenance including Turnarounds, 34 in Power, 14 in Transmission and Distribution, and 45 in Telecommunications.
This is the sixth time that SAM has appeared on the list and we are pleased to be among the top companies recognized by ENR for 2018. The highly regarded ranking is published annually and profiles leading firms based on revenue.
In data subsequently published by ENR, SAM also ranked well in specific geographic regions and market categories. For the Southeast Region in 2018, SAM ranked 87 overall among 120 firms, with a revenue of $9.94 million in the region. In the Midwest Region, SAM was ranked 92 out of 120 companies, with a revenue of $13.8M in the region. For the Texas/Louisiana Region, SAM ranked 19 out of 110 companies, with a revenue of $105.2M in the region. SAM also ranked number one in the Surveying and Mapping category and number 13 in the Transportation sector for the Texas/Louisiana region. For the MidAtlantic Region SAM ranked 100 out of 115 companies, with a revenue of $6.0M for the region. Finally, for the Mountain State Region, SAM ranked 47 out of 50 companies listed in the Colorado/Wyoming section, based on a revenue of $4.8M.
