SAM, LLC, a leader in providing geospatial data solutions and construction phase services in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry has opened an operating office in Lindale, Texas. With 32 offices in the U.S., the organization continues to grow and partner with clients in the Oil and Gas, Transportation, Electric Transmission and Distribution, and Telecommunications industries.
SAM services include surveying, geospatial, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE), utility coordination, and construction phase services. SAM’s new office in Lindale offers proximity to Tyler Junior College (TJC) in Tyler, Texas, and its strong Surveying and Geomatics Technology program. The company currently employs approximately 30 TJC alumni, including President and CEO, Chris Solomon, and COO, Rob Butler.
“We have a very strong bond with TJC,” said Solomon. “I believe it is a mutually beneficial relationship where SAM can offer well-educated and qualified students exceptional career opportunities.”
The organization has maintained a strong partnership with TJC’s survey department since 1994, and SAM’s leadership visits the TJC campus throughout the academic year to connect with students and inform them of the many benefits that SAM extends to future talent.
Recognized as a Top Workplace for eight consecutive years, SAM offers TJC graduates the ability to train with industry experts, utilize industry-leading technology, and engage in an extensive learning and development program while staying rooted in the Tyler/Lindale community. “In many organizations, you would need to move to a large market like Dallas, Austin, or Houston to receive the type of career possibilities SAM offers,” said Solomon. “With our new Lindale office, employees can remain local and close to family and friends while experiencing great opportunities for training and growth.”
SAM recently held an open house at the new office where Lindale clients, locals, and TJC staff gathered to welcome SAM to the area. Susan Farrington, TJC Alumni Relations Director, who attended the event stated, “SAM CEO and TJC alumnus, Chris Solomon, is the embodiment of a true TJC success story, and we could not be prouder of this new venture that brings SAM to East Texas where Chris got his start.”
