SAM Companies is pleased to introduce Matthew Doty, as a Senior Project Manager in our Aerial Mapping service sector.
Mr. Doty has more than 18 years of experience in LiDAR and Photogrammetry and throughout his career has worked with private and public clients markets. In his role at SAM, he is responsible for aerial and mobile LiDAR data collection and analysis for transportation and utility clients.
Mr. Doty is based out of our Charlotte office and brings extensive knowledge and insight to SAM’s Aerial Mapping and Land Surveying service sectors. Particularly, his experience in the evaluation and analysis of remote sensing (LiDAR and imagery) datasets and GPS adjustment for use in digital mapping provides great value to SAM’s clients in transportation and utilities.

Matt Doty is an ASPRS Certified Photogrammetrist and LiDAR Scientist. He holds a B.S. in Surveying and Mapping/Geomatics from East Tennessee State University and is a Certified GISP, certified PMP, and a licensed Part-107 UAS pilot.
