Surveying And Mapping has been recognized by Engineering News Record (ENR) as one the top engineering design firms in the Texas/Louisiana region. The firm ranked number 14 out of 101 firms, with a revenue of $62.9 million in the region. Each year ENR ranks qualified firms by their annual revenue to establish the top design firms overall, as well as by region and market sector. The current rankings appear in the June 17, 2013 edition of ENR Texas/Louisiana magazine.
Within subcategories of the Texas/Louisiana region, the firm ranked first (number 1) for surveying and mapping services and number 13 for revenue within Texas alone. The firm also ranked number 6 in the petroleum market sector and number 3 in the power market sector. Although SAM operates across North America, these exceptional rankings demonstrate the continued strong presence the firm has in its home market.
Earlier this year SAM was also ranked 126 overall in the national rankings for the 2013 ENR Top 500 Design Firms. (Read Story) The firm also ranked 50 out of 106 firms in the ENR Midwest region. This is the first time that SAM has appeared in the rankings for the Texas/Louisiana region.
