SAM Awarded Three-Year, On-Call Contract with TDOT for Photogrammetric and Mapping Services

July 16, 2020

SAM has been awarded a three-year, on-call contract to provide photogrammetric and mapping services for the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT). SAM will provide surveying, aerial orthophotography, LiDAR and mapping services across the state and will utilize its own fixed-wing aircraft for many of the deliverables.

This is SAM’s first contract with TDOT and comes just a few months after SAM’s acquisition of JMC Professional Surveying and Mapping and the addition of two offices in Tennessee. SAM is able to rapidly deploy field crews across the region and utilize state-of-the-art geospatial technology and expertise to capture high-quality georeferenced data and imagery.

“With our recent acquisition, we now have an office and personnel with deep experience in Tennessee,” said Senior Project Manager, David Barron. “This local knowledge combined with SAM resources allow us to offer multiple services and the most advanced technology to deliver on the client’s needs in this region.”
