SAM Awarded Three-Year Contract With NCDOT For Aerial Mapping Services

SAM has been awarded a three-year contract to provide various Aerial Mapping services to the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT). SAM will be providing aerial data acquisition, Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) data acquisition and processing, photogrammetric mapping and orthophotography processing services. This work will be performed under the NCDOT Aerial Surveying Services Limited Services contract.

SAM will utilize its company-owned, manned aircraft to collect metric aerial imagery and airborne topographic LiDAR and its fleet of UAS to capture aerial imagery and aerial LiDAR data. In addition, SAM will perform aerial mapping control and 3D photogrammetric mapping for various roadway design mapping around the state. SAM offers a wide range of aerial data collection and processing services while employing the most advanced technology in the geospatial industry. With multiple offices in North Carolina and an in-depth knowledge of NCDOT requirements, SAM is able to quickly deliver high-quality, accurate, and reliable geospatial data for transportation infrastructure projects in the state.
