SAM is excited to announce the promotion of Bentley Shafer, RPLS, to Operations Manager. Mr. Shafer will manage operations in our Midland, TX office, collaborating with other leadership team members across the company to ensure the continued growth and success, as well as support SAM’s long-term strategic vision.
“We are thrilled to have Bentley as the Operations Manager. This is a new role for the Midland office, and his extensive experience, leadership skills, and commitment to excellence make him the perfect fit to lead and help grow our teams,” said Midland Office Manager, John Watson.
Mr. Shafer joined SAM in April 2022 as a Senior Project Manager, primarily leading projects for renewables, gas distribution, and energy markets. In September 2023, he received his Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) license in Texas.

Growing the Midland organization, delivering exceptional results, and contributing to the long-term success of our organization is a priority,” said Mr. Shafer.
Mr. Shafer served in the Army for four years. He earned his Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Washington State in 1999. Shortly after, he formed a Land Development Company with two partners, acquiring and developing projects across the northwest of the United States.
