June 11, 2020

We are pleased to announce that Rik Dunham has joined SAM Companies as a Project Manager in our Salt Lake City Office. Mr. Dunham will support our Oil and Gas Market Team across the nation, with a focus on the central region.

Dunham has more than 38 years of experience in the land surveying, oil and gas, and Geographic Information System (GIS) fields. He began his career in New York focusing on American Land Title Association (ALTA), subdivision design, and various other survey functions. Dunham then went on to own and operate a land surveying company and later developed GIS applications for the oil and gas market, including the development of an enterprise-integrated GIS system for an oil and energy operator with operations spanning the US. Throughout his career, Dunham has supported Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) processes, construction, engineering, pipeline safety, asset integrity, pipeline routing, environmental permitting, land right-of-way regulation, as well as managing a GIS, Survey and Mapping Department.

“I am very enthusiastic about this opportunity to get back to my surveying roots,” Mr. Dunham said about his new role. “I have had the pleasure to work with the SAM Team over the past several years and know SAM is a strong and value-oriented company with a great, forward-looking vision and leadership team. I feel my experience in the oil and gas industry can help strengthen SAM’s efforts in this market sector.”
