We are pleased to announce that Mike Peppers, PLS, has joined SAM as a Senior Project Manager. Based out of our Atlanta, Georgia office, Mr. Peppers will support SAM’s strategic growth in the state of Georgia and the transportation market sector with his vast geospatial and geomatics knowledge.

Mr. Peppers has 24 years of experience in the geospatial industry and is a licensed Professional Land Surveyor in Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi with extensive experience leading and managing large teams. He has a strong technical background in the geomatics industry, including route surveys, boundary surveys, land acquisition surveys, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, subdivision surveys, and construction staking.

Before joining SAM, he served as the Survey Manager for Arcadis for eighteen years, managing personnel, projects, and contracts and completing sizable projects for large clients, including the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).

“I previously worked as a sub-consultant to Mike on GDOT projects while we were both with other firms. The relationship was very congenial, both personally and professionally. His personality, attention to detail, and focus on quality will fit very well into the culture we are working hard to develop in the SAM Atlanta office,” shared Office Manager, Stan Hicks.

Mr. Peppers will lead transportation survey projects, developing effective workflows and QA/QC procedures to provide high-quality deliverables to GDOT and our local government clients. He will also focus on training new employees and mentoring existing staff to become more proficient in delivering the survey database for roadway design projects.

“I am honored to join SAM as a Senior Project Manager. With a deep understanding of the transportation market sector and a successful project delivery track record, I look forward to driving strategic growth in Georgia and leveraging my geomatics knowledge to exceed client expectations. New job, new coworkers, new possibilities!” said Mr. Peppers.
