Our Annual Giving Programs
Community Roots
Community Roots is a SAM tradition every April in honor of National Volunteer Month. Our team members are encouraged to volunteer individually or join forces with colleagues to collect as many hours as possible. For every volunteer hour completed and reported, SAM plants a tree through the National Forest Foundation.
SAM Cans Hunger
Our annual SAM Cans Hunger food drive supports food banks and non-profit organizations local to each of our office locations. In 2023, our teams contributed 9,550 pounds of food and $7,120 in monetary donations benefitting 32 organizations across the country.
End-of-Year Donation Drives
During the early winter months each year, the SAM team joins together to participate in gift drives benefiting local families. Our collective efforts bring joy and celebration to those in need, embodying the spirit of giving that defines our community commitment.
Volunteer Spotlight: The Texas Ramp Project
SAM shines a light on the individuals who make our communities stronger, like Zeke Zieschang from our Austin office. His commitment to constructing access ramps with the Texas Ramp Project exemplifies our ethos of service. Zeke’s hands-on volunteering offers life-changing support and embodies the selfless spirit that thrives within SAM, reminding us that the greatest reward is making a difference in someone’s life. Through the construction of these vital structures, Zeke and his team provide not just mobility but also freedom and dignity to those facing physical challenges, profoundly impacting both the recipients and the volunteers with each project.
