Mike Baranowski, CMT-Lidar, GISP, is a Project Manager on SAM’s Federal Geospatial team with a focus on managing large scale USGS 3DEP and 3DHP projects throughout the United States. Mike provides experience and knowledge in all phases of aerial lidar work from acquisition, planning, calibration, production management, and quality assurance/quality control. With 17 years of experience in the geospatial, surveying and GIS profession, Mike has developed an extensive technical skillset and problem-solving mindset which allows him to efficiently adapt workflows to meet evolving project requirements.
Mike is both a certified GIS Professional (GISP) and ASPRS certified Lidar Mapping Technologist. He is the ASPRS GIS Division Director and serves on GISCI’s GISP Exam Development Committee. Mike’s favorite SAM core value is People where he enjoys working as a team and helping with personnel growth development and mentorship.
When not at work you can find Mike out and about with his family in Charlotte biking up and down the many greenways throughout the city.
