We are excited to announce that Matthew Reinhart, P.E., has rejoined SAM as the Mid-East Director of Transportation, focusing on Transportation initiatives throughout Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky. With 17 years of civil engineering experience, Matthew will lead SAM’s Transportation Market initiatives, bringing technical expertise, leadership, and a focus on delivering high-quality solutions nationwide.
Matthew began his career in hydraulic design and has extensive experience managing projects from survey through construction completion. He coordinates with public, private, and government stakeholders to optimize schedules, avoid conflicts, and control costs. His expertise spans all four quality levels of Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE), and he has completed Staking University training, reflecting his deep knowledge of electromagnetic locating instruments.
Matthew has managed a wide variety of Task Order Contracts and projects across the U.S., including the FRA-161-15.80 road widening outside Columbus; the Blue Line in Indianapolis, and the Brent Spence Bridge in Kentucky. In these projects, he applied SUE and survey technologies, as well as Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), to provide precise data supporting design and construction.
An active member of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Ohio, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Society of Highway Engineers, and the Engineers Club of Columbus, Matthew also holds INDOT Utility Coordinator Certification and has completed UESI/BAMI Utility Investigation School training.
