Christina Preas has over 16 years of experience within the transportation and utility engineering industry. Christina currently serves as the Austin Utility Engineering Department Manager, overseeing Utility Coordination, Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE), and Fiber Engineering.
Christina is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas and a member of several industry associations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS). Christina has designed and managed various roadway, bridge, and drainage projects, as well as, been responsible for preliminary engineering phase services, final plan preparation, on-site construction phase services, utility/ROW coordination and verification, and construction management on various projects throughout the state of Texas. This blended background has allowed her to take a holistic approach to utility engineering projects, proactively minimizing risks while offering effective solutions that are beneficial to all project stakeholders.
Christina’s favorite SAM core value is Community. She believes that being active and present in our community unites people and gives us a sense of being part of something greater than ourselves while achieving higher goals together. She is actively involved in her community through several organizations introducing STEM programs to local youths. She currently resides in Texas.
