We are pleased to announce that Tim Murphy, PLS, has joined SAM Companies as a Geomatics Manager. Based out of our Chicago, Illinois office, Mr. Murphy’s vast geospatial and geomatics knowledge will benefit SAM’s strategic growth in the Chicagoland area and support both the utilities and transportation market sectors in the broader central region.
Mr. Murphy has 44 years of experience in the geospatial industry and is a licensed Professional Land Surveyor in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin with extensive experience leading and managing large teams. He has a strong technical background in the broader geomatics industry, including Boundary Surveys, Land Acquisition Surveys, ALTA Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Subdivision Surveys, and Construction Staking. Prior to joining SAM, he served as Regional Survey Manager for Manhard Consulting, LTD for almost ten years, where he managed offices and personnel, won new business, and successfully completed sizable projects for large clients, including the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT).
