SAM is proud to announce the promotion of Andrew Costell to Director of Damage Prevention. In his new role, Mr. Costell will expand our damage prevention programs across our growing geographic footprint, providing best-in-class solutions to our clients.
“When I was first introduced to damage prevention, I realized I had a genuine passion for it, and I am excited about this opportunity. SAM has supported my efforts and growth in building several teams over my last nine years with the company. The support has allowed me to play a role in the expansion and diversification of services to our clients, and together with our clients we’ve built programs that make our communities safer each day,” said Mr. Costell.
Mr. Costell has 30 years of experience with damage prevention and Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE). He joined SAM as a Project Manager in November 2013 after the opening of the company’s Columbus, Ohio, office. Shortly after that, he was promoted to SUE Department Manager. Mr. Costell has been instrumental in building an exceptional team and client base, mainly working to establish natural gas-related damage prevention programs with numerous utility companies.
