SAM has again ranked as a top engineering design firm by Engineering News-Record (ENR) magazine. For 2020, SAM ranked number 93 on the ENR list of Top 500 Design Firms. This recognition reflects SAM’s continued success, with growth through geographic expansion, service diversification, and business acquisitions. SAM also ranked number 73 among the Top 100 Pure Designers in 2020, a category for companies not engaged in construction.
In data subsequently published by ENR, SAM also ranked in several market sectors and regions. The company ranked in six national market sectors: for Transmission and Distribution SAM ranked 14; for Power SAM ranked 37; for Pipelines SAM ranked 8; for Petroleum SAM ranked 28; for Telecommunications SAM ranked 49; and for Towers and Antennae SAM ranked 10. SAM also ranked in five ENR regional categories: for the Southeast SAM ranked 75; for Colorado/Wyoming/Dakotas SAM ranked 25; for the MidAtlantic SAM ranked 120; for the Midwest SAM ranked 99; and for Texas/Louisiana SAM ranked 18. For Texas/Louisiana SAM also ranked as number 1 for Surveying and Mapping services. Taken collectively, these rankings continue to demonstrate a leading presence for SAM in national markets.
This is the eighth consecutive year that SAM has appeared on the list and we are pleased to be among the top companies recognized by ENR for 2020.
