John Webb joined SAM in 2019. He has more than three decades of marine design, environmental permitting, planning, engineering, and construction management experience in domestic and international arenas including North America, South America, Southeast Asia, Africa, Central America, and Holland with a particular focus in Brazil. His industry experience and skills include international business development, strategic planning, capital planning, and operations improvement combining financing and engineering skills.

John is a member of the American Associations of Port Authorities (AAPA), International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH), and Harbor Association or Industry and Commerce (HAIC). He is considered a leader and expert in the maritime community. As such, he has been involved with environmental and civil design, facility asset assessment, pavement design and management, as well as construction-related activities including, technical and commercial due diligence, structuring, and implementation of infrastructure public private partnership initiatives, with emphasis on port and commercial transportation.

John’s favorite SAM Core Value is Integrity and Ethics. He believes integrity and ethics speak to the essence of a person and are fundamental in the development of any relationship, both personal and business. He has often said, “no one can take your word away from you, you can only give it away!” He currently resides in Austin, Texas with his son Gabriel, who is a Texas State Bobcat football player. He enjoys golf, fishing, and an occasional cigar
