David Hoffman joined SAM in 2020. He has over 30 years of engineering, construction, and construction management experience, focused on heavy industrial greenfield and brownfield programs.  Over his career, David has developed expertise across a wide variety of services supporting federal, industrial, commercial, ports, and energy. His proven experience in mentoring and team building benefit SAM as we unify our Utility Engineering (UE) practice.

As part of David’s leadership, he is working to unify and grow the UC and SUE service areas into an integrated high-performing UE practice. He is also implementing numerous QA/QC programs developing quality documents and leading development of SOPs to position our team to provide a high quality and consistent work product nationwide.

David is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. He holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Villanova University. His favorite core value is Excellence in Service. David has strived, throughout his career, to mentor project managers to deliver best-in-the-industry services to clients. In his free time, David enjoys biking (including numerous MS-150s), golfing, home restoration, and acting as a volunteer engineer-in-charge at his condominium facility. He also enjoys the company of his wife, two children, and family dogs.
