Dana Smola has been the Director of Human Resources for SAM Companies since 2014. She has over 20 years of experience in HR, with more than 10 years leading initiatives for AEC companies. With an extensive knowledge of employee relations, regulatory compliance, and benefits program management, she has been recognized for her leadership aligning HR competencies with effective business strategy.

Dana is a graduate of San Diego State University, earning a B.A. in psychology with a focus on organizational development. She holds certifications as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and from the Society for Human Resources Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).

Dana strongly believes in SAM’s core value of Integrity and Ethics and this reinforces how she approaches her daily interactions and support for others. She spends time in the community supporting her church and non-profit organizations such as Compassion International. Dana resides in Texas with her husband and two sons.
